Basic EMS Field Training Officer (FTO) Course
Course Dates & Times: March 31 - April 2 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

The Basic FTO course, spanning three days, introduces the fundamentals of the EMS Field Training and Evaluation Program (EMS-FTEP™), focusing on its structure, tools, and techniques. Participants will learn about adult education principles, effective coaching methods, and the art of providing constructive feedback. They will also gain skills in evaluating and documenting trainee performance, using the specialized tools of EMS-FTEP™ such as Standardized Evaluation Guidelines, the Recruit Training Manual, and Daily Observation Reports.
Developing and Managing the Field Training and Evaluation Program (FTEP)

This two-day executive-level course is intended for supervisors, educators, managers, and executives who want to develop a sound, legally defensible EMS field training and evaluation program (EMS-FTEP™) to integrate new employees smoothly and effectively into their agencies or to strengthen and solidify an existing field training program.
